Why Zambia?

If these kids were yours; what lengths would you go to BE with them. Starving. Alone. Needing hugs of a "mama" and "papa." Hopeless. Those without a voice. Desperate for someone to love them for who they are. Naked. Bloated bellies from hunger. Restless from lack of security and stability that a safe home brings. Lonely. Fearful. Full of anxiety. Diseased from lack of care and nutritious foods. These kids they are HIS kids. This is what Kids Alive is all about. Caring for the least of these. I am; Heartless. Unloving. Sinful. Selfish. Ugly. Broken. We all are. We have to refuse to see a need and not take action. I am in need of Him;daily... and once my eyes were opened to the need I couldn't deny what my eyes had seen. As a mama. Not only was my life moved...but it was also moved for those without one. Excuses....there are none.
If it were YOUR child you would be doing everything even the unimaginable to get to them??????
So forgive me if we keep asking. If we keep bugging you... Pleading...posting..sharing. These kids they ARE worth it. I won't stop. I can't. This journey isn't about me...it's about them.
"Once our eyes are opened, we cannot pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible to act."- Proverbs 24:12
Please help us get to them and BE with them.

The King will reply, "Truly I tell you whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me." - Matthew 25:40
  • Only 57% of children have an opportunity to go to primary school.
  • 1 in 3 people are infected by HIV/AIDS.
  • There are 115 new infections EVERY day.
  • Most children are "lucky" if they get to eat one meal a day.
  • 18% of children die under the age of five.

WHY not? These precious kids are worth it.
